Hello! My name is Ricky. I would like to give you a pest control guide which will help you to rid your property of different kinds of pests. At this point, I should say that I am not a professional pest control contractor but I do have a great deal of experience of hiring pest control services and watching the agents work around my home. If you have ever seen a man catch a spider, snake or rat, you will be amazed at the skill they demonstrate. Do You Have a Pest in Your House?

The Number 1 Pest Control Myth Debunked and Dispelled: An Expert's Perspective

by Anita Schmidt

There are several myths and untruths around the pest control conversation that can make it difficult to tell fact from fiction. Number one on this list is the untruth that you cannot have a pest infestation in a clean house. That could not be further from the truth.

You pride yourself on your proper housekeeping habits, and your house always looks its best -- yet somehow, the pesky pests still find their way into your house. What gives?

1. Wooden Furniture and Other Wooden Items

You may not let food crumbs sit around on the floor or leave any unwashed dishes lying around in the sink, but pests can be very resourceful. They will look to organic matter such as wood, especially damp wood, as a source of food. The same goes for paper and cardboard boxes.

No matter how well organised you keep your old books and other reading material, you could be unknowingly inviting pests into the house. If you have old pieces of furniture that are showing even the smallest signs of decay, it may be time you stopped hoarding and get rid of them.

2. A Neglected Yard

You may be putting too much effort into keeping your indoor spaces crisp and clean, and not enough on your outdoors.  A poorly-kept garden is the perfect breeding ground for different kinds of pests, because it provides everything a pest needs to survive and thrive -- that is, food and shelter. The pests will feed on dead branches and grass, and for shelter, the options are just endless.

It is only a matter of time before these pests in your garden find a way into your house.  Keep your outdoors as clean and well-maintained as you do the indoors to avoid this problem.

3. Cracks and Crevices Around The House

Pests love hiding in these tiny gaps around your house. The cracks are not just access points into your home, but they are the perfect shelter, especially if they are in a dark little corner that doesn't receive much light.

Be sure to seal off any gaps and cracks around your house with caulk. You will not only effectively block off the pests' entry points, but also kill off any pests that may be hiding in the cracks.

Do not believe everything you hear about pest control services. It is best to contact a professional pest control company for accurate and reliable information that you can trust.
